SERVICES PROVIDED
EARLY INTERVENTION
Early intervention is a critical approach for supporting infants and toddlers from birth to age three who have a developmental delay or disability. This is a time when the brain is rapidly growing and learning. By starting early, children can develop essential skills in communication, motor abilities, social interaction, and daily living. Research indicates that early support can lead to better outcomes, helping children catch up to their peers and thrive in school and life. We offer personalized early intervention services tailored to each child's unique needs. Our approach includes parent coaching, empowering families with the tools and confidence to support their child's development. We are a vendor with the San Diego Regional Center, and families who qualify may be eligible for free services through the Early Start program.

GESTALT LANGUAGE PROCESSING
Gestalt Language Processors (GLPs) use delayed echolalia (repetition of sounds, words, or phrases after hearing them) to learn and process language. Many autistic individuals, though not all, are gestalt language processors. We specialize in supporting gestalt language processors using the Natural Language Acquisition framework to help them develop meaningful, flexible language skills. Your child may be a gestalt language processor if they: have many single words (colors, numbers, shapes, animal names) but are not combining them to make phrases, can sing entire songs but have difficulty communicating basic wants and needs, have advanced reading skills for what you would expect for their age (hyperlexia, or are scripting from their favorite tv shows or movies to communicate with you.
AUGMENTATIVE AND ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION (AAC)
AAC refers to tools that support individuals who have difficulty speaking to communicate effectively. This can include anything from picture boards to high-tech speech-generating devices. At Lotus Bloom Speech, we provide comprehensive AAC services including personalized evaluations, device recommendations, training for users and families, and ongoing support to ensure successful communication in all environments. Our goal is to empower each individual to communicate their needs, thoughts, and feelings with confidence and authenticity.
